When Final Approval is required, Admin or Super users are able to approve the reviews. This requires the manager to "submit" the review for approval and enables them to email comments to other managers for input, as needed.
Manager users may also be able to approve reviews. There is an additional setting required to allow Manager users to approve reviews that must be enabled in addition to the Final Approval setting.
Please see below the workflows for approval along with tips for communicating with other managers. Download the Review Approval Workflow below more details.
Admin / Super user Approval
The Manager must mark the Assessment Complete = Yes on the Approval tab to submit the review for approval.
Once the manager submits the review for approval Admin and Super users receive an email notification.
Use the link in the email or login to access the review.
In the Review Approval tab you will see the option to Approve or Deny the request.
Once you save your selection, all managers related to the review record will be notified via email.
Manager user Approval
The Manager must mark the Assessment Complete = Yes on the Approval tab & select a manager to approve the review.
Once a manager submits the review for approval the approving manager will receive an email notification.
Use the link in the email or login to access the review.
In the Review Approval tab you will see the option to Approve or Deny the request.
Once you save your selection, the requesting manager and primary and secondary managers (if not the requestor) are notified via email.
Primary and Secondary managers are not able to approve reviews. The approving manager must be higher than the Primary manager. The Manager Approval setting still allows for the Admin or Super users to approve.
NOTE: Once the manager marks the assessment as complete and submits the review for approval, the review record is now Read Only.
If the review was submitted for approval by mistake the Admin user or Manager user (if Manager is allowed to approve) can return the review back to draft status for additional changes by updating manager assessment back to "no".
