Assigning Goal Contributors
Updated over a week ago

In our cascading goal configuration, you have the option to include contributors when creating or editing a goal.

What is a Contributor?

A contributor is someone who directly impacts the results or completion of a goal but is not primarily responsible for it. You can assign as many contributors as needed to a goal.

Examples of Contributors:

  • Someone actively involved in executing tasks related to the goal.

  • Individuals providing essential support or resources directly linked to goal achievement.

Benefits of Assigning Contributors:

  • Enhanced Collaboration: contributors can actively engage in goal progress, fostering a sense of shared ownership.

  • Transparent Communication: By assigning contributors, you ensure relevant team members stay informed about updates and changes to the goal.

  • Streamlined Accountability: Clear identification of contributors facilitates accountability for progress and results.

How to Assign a Goal Contributor:

In the "General" tab, you can find the contributor field when creating or updating a goal. Note: the contributor field is exclusively available if you are utilizing the cascading goals configuration.

To add a contributor(s), follow these simple steps:

  1. Navigate to the "General" tab when creating or updating a goal.

  2. Locate the contributor field within the tab.

  3. Search and select the appropriate individual(s) from the search results.

By following these steps, you can easily assign contributors to your goals, enabling effective collaboration and alignment toward achieving desired outcomes.

Contributor Capabilities:

  • Contributors can edit and update assigned goals within the Goals Application.

  • Contributors can edit and update assigned goals within the Check-In Application.

  • Contributors CANNOT add assigned goals to their self-assessment in the Performance Review Application. This action is limited to the person responsible for the goal.
