WorkDove provides two distinct options for goal management: Simplified and Cascading Configurations. It's crucial to carefully evaluate which option best aligns with your organization's needs and objectives.
Simplified Goal Management: This option empowers you to establish and monitor progress for individual goals within the WorkDove platform. It's ideal for organizations venturing into goal setting for the first time or those who do not require or currently lack structured alignment with higher organizational levels, such as department or company goals.
Cascading Goal Management: This option allows organizations to set goals across three levels, fostering alignment and strategic coherence. This configuration also allows for goal contributors, fostering collaboration and shared accountability. It’s ideal for organizations with existing tiered structures or those willing to invest in alignment mapping.
Recommendations:
Assess Current Organizational Goal Structure: Understand your organization's hierarchy to determine how goals can align across different levels. This step helps identify whether a structured alignment, like the Cascading Goal configuration, fits your organization's structure.
Define Alignment Strategy: Clearly define how goals at various levels align with each other to maintain strategic coherence. This step allows you to evaluate whether your goals naturally cascade in a manner that fits the structured alignment provided by Cascading Goals.
Evaluate Alignment Needs: Consider whether your organization requires structured alignment with higher levels, such as department or company goals. If many goals don't naturally cascade in this way, the simplified configuration may be more suitable.
Note: Goal configuration is a Help Desk setting. A member of our team will need to help you with your Goal configuration settings if you are just getting started or need to make a change.
