Adding Manager Feedback for a Check-In
Updated over a week ago

Once an employee has completed a check-in, their manager has the option to provide feedback for that check-in record. To learn more about WorkDove's Check-In application and workflow, please visit this article.

Accessing the Manager Feedback Section:

1. Ensure you are in the "My Team" context.

2. In your lefthand menu, navigate to Apps > Check-Ins.

3. Click on the three-dot menu next to the Employee's name and select the "View Check-Ins" option. Note: The "View Check-Ins" option will only be available in the three dot-menu if the Employee has completed at least one Check-In.

4. Once the employee's Check-In is in view mode, you will see the Manager Feedback box located on the right side of the page. If you have employee sentiment enabled in your Check-Ins, this box will be located below the employee pulse report.

Feedback Types - Manager Feedback & Private Notes:

The manager is offered 2 places to document feedback and/or notes for each specific check-in record:

  • Manager Feedback: This section is designed to document feedback that will be visible to the employee. This feedback section will also trigger an email notification to the employee which includes this feedback.

  • Private Notes: This section can be used to document any notes that you do NOT want the employee to see but you would like noted in relation to this conversation. Employees will not see private notes. However, Secondary Managers, Super Users, Partners, and Admin will have access to view these notes.

Save Feedback vs Share Feedback:

Under the Manger Feedback box, you will see the option to save feedback and share feedback.

  • Save Feedback: This option allows the manager to draft their response and save their progress. Feedback in draft mode is not yet visible to the employee. The manager can close the application and return to resume their draft at a later date if needed.

  • Share Feedback: This option shares the feedback and makes it visible to the employee. An email will trigger to the employee when this option is clicked. Once clicked, the icon at the top of the box will change from draft > shared to confirm that the feedback is now visible.
