Bulk Goal Creation

How to create a goal for multiple users at once

Updated over a week ago

During the goal creation process, you have the ability to create and assign the same goal to multiple users at once. To learn more about creating goals, visit this article.

Managers can create a bulk goal for anyone on their team and Admin/Super users can create bulk goals for anyone in the organization.

How to Create a Bulk Goal:

1. Once in the Goals application, to add a goal you will click the green plus sign in the top right corner of the application.

2. To assign the same goal to multiple users, navigate to the "Person Responsible" section within the General Tab. You can select more than one individual from the drop down menu. In addition, you can type a user's name to search from the list to quickly find a specific user. To remove a selected user, simply click the "x" next to their name.

Selecting multiple users in the "Person Responsible" field does not mean that they are all collaborating on the same goal. Rather, this will make copies of the same goal for each person in this field. There can only be one person responsible for each goal.

Important Note: If your account is configured to allow the selection of a goal contributor, the selected contributor will apply to each person listed in the "Person Responsible" field for this goal. For more information on contributors, visit this article.

3. Complete the remaining tabs and click the "save" button. This will create a separate copy of the goal for each of the users listed in the "Person Responsible" field.

Copying an Existing Goal to Multiple Users:

You also have the ability to create bulk goals by copying an existing goal to one or more users.

1. Find the goal you wish to copy and click the 3-dot menu.

2. In the next menu, select the "Copy" option.

3. In the next screen you can select one or more users under the "Person Responsible" field. If needed, you can made edits to the other tabs and then press "Create" in the upper right corner. This will create a duplicate goal with all of the same requirements and information. This option will not copy over the current results or progress, just the goal details.
