Employee Access in IDP+

IDP+ is a career coaching tool with the development plan as its core feature

Updated over a week ago

Once an IDP+ has been assigned to an employee, the IDP+ application becomes accessible to them under the Apps section. However, if no IDP+ is assigned, they won't see the application. Within the IDP+ application, employees have access to two tabs: Development Plan and Improvement Plan. If only one of these items is assigned to the employee, they will only see the corresponding tab.

Development Plans

The Development Plan is one of the primary components of IDP+. Development plans allow for multiple Target Development areas, empowering them to progress toward career milestones and enhance performance.

Both employees and managers can add Target Development Areas within the Development Plan. If the manager adds the Target Development Area, the employee is unable to edit the item. They are only able to mark it complete. If the employee adds the Target Development Area, they can edit all columns and also mark the item complete.

After marking a Target Development Area complete, it is visible by toggling the "View History" tab. From here, you can also restore the area to current if further updates are needed.

Note: The name of this tab and the specific columns available for the target development areas may vary depending on the application configuration set by the account administrator.

Target Development Areas in Check-ins

Once an employee completes a check-in, they also have the opportunity to update their IDP+ Target Development Areas. On the completed check-in record, they will see an "IDP+" tab. From here, they can add a new Target Development Area, make updates to areas that they added, or mark any area complete.

Improvement Plans

The Improvement Plan is another main component of the IDP+ application that aims to help employees meet important performance goals. Managers will fill out the Improvement Plan and discuss it with you further. Once the document is completed by your leader, a notification will be sent to you in "read-only mode." From here, you may view and "sign" by clicking on "Acknowledge Improvement Plan" as seen in the screenshot below. Once viewed and signed, the Improvement Plan can be viewed by clicking "View History."

Note: The name of this tab and the specific fields available available may vary depending on the application configuration set by the account administrator.

If you are an employee with additional questions regarding your specific IDP+ plan, please reach out to your manager.
