Finalizing & Assigning Improvement Plans
Finalizing & Assigning Improvement Plans
Updated over a week ago

Once an IDP+ has been assigned, if the 'Improvement Plan' tab is toggled on, there are additional steps that need to be completed before this tab is visible to the employee.

Note: The title of this tab is customizable and may vary across organizations.

To complete this, navigate to the employee's assigned IDP by going to Apps>IDP+ and clicking the three-dot menu beside the employee's name. Then, select the option to 'View IDP+'.

While creating the IDP+, you can draft responses to the Improvement Plan tab fields. If further details are required, proceed by entering the remaining information specific to this employee in the required fields. Note: The fields in the Improvement Plan are highly customizable and may vary.

If the Improvement Goals (title may vary) section is included, managers can add goals, and both the manager and employee can comment on them. If no goals are relevant at this time, managers can click the small trash can icon to remove the pre-populated "Goal 1" field.

Note: The Private Notes section is not visible to the employee.

Once all fields are completed, you will then click 'Finalize & Assign.' A pop-up will appear confirming that you are ready to assign the Improvement Plan. This makes this tab visible to the employee.

Once assigned, the next step is for the employee to acknowledge the plan.

Employee View:

From this view, the employee can review the data typed by their manager and leave comments in the improvement goals section (if applicable). Once they review this, they will click the "Acknowledge Improvement Plan" button. When they click this button, a pop-up will appear for them to confirm they have reviewed the plan.

After the employee clicks confirm, the last step is for the manager to Close the Improvement plan. They can do this by navigating to the Improvement Plan and clicking the "Close Improvement Plan" button. This moves the improvement plan to the history within this tab. The manager can view the history of this completed Improvement Plan by toggling the "View History" within the Improvement Plan tab. This will also show them the date the employee acknowledged the plan.
