Navigating the Calendar Application
Navigating the Calendar Application
Updated over a week ago

To access the calendar application, go to Apps > Calendar. Alternatively, you can quickly view your calendar from the Calendar card on your dashboard. This card includes a "Manage" button, providing direct navigation to the application as well.

Once in the Calendar application. You may see a variety of contexts, depending on your role in WorkDove.

Calendar View

Your Calendar view aligns with what you are able to access across all of our other Apps.

  • You are always able to see your own events and records,

  • You can see many of your direct-reports events and records, and

  • If you have permission to edit a record (ex: Performance Review, Goal), you will be able to see it in the appropriate column.

Calendar Contexts

  • Me Calendar: Displays all events for features where the user is responsible for completing the record.

  • Team Calendar: Shows direct reports' Check-Ins and Reviews.

  • Company Calendar: View Custom events created by or for you, or those to which you're invited.

Grouped Events

Grouped Events offer a consolidated view of similar or simultaneous events, organized by date and time. This includes All Day events and Custom events on the same date. The Grouped card displays a stacked appearance, showing the number of events and their tags. Users can expand or collapse the cards using the provided arrows.

Event Actions

Each calendar event features a three-dot menu with actions tailored to the event type and your WorkDove access. These actions affect only the event's display on your calendar. For example, selecting "Complete Event" beside a check-in does not finalize it but removes it from your calendar. Completed events display a check mark icon and can be restored. Other options might include deleting the event or accessing the associated record.

Supported Applications

  • When a Check-In is created, an All-Day event is generated.

  • Emails are generated to participants once the event is created. A reminder email is sent the day before the event. If you update or delete the event, an email is also generated to participants.

Notification Center

The notification center also includes a quick view of events happening today based on your calendar. The Calendar icon includes a count which indicates how many events you have for today.

Third-Party Integrations

You can connect your calendar in WorkDove to either your Google or Microsoft account! Companies must first follow the steps to complete the integration outside of the calendar application. This can be done by Admin users in Account Settings. For more information on this process click here.
