Integrating with Microsoft, Google, and Slack

WorkDove offers seamless integration with various providers, enhancing user experience and productivity. Explore the benefits and features of integration below:

  • Microsoft - allows WorkDove events to appear on your Microsoft Calendar. You are also able to provide Recognition through Microsoft Teams.

  • Google - allows WorkDove events to appear on your Google Calendar.

  • Slack - allows you to provide Recognition through Slack.

Activate an Integration

To activate an integration, navigate to Account Settings, find the 'Integrations' section, and toggle on the integration you wish to set up.

Note: Only account administrators can toggle on integrations.

For detailed instructions on setting up specific integrations, refer to the sections below.


Google Integration Instructions

After the Google Integration setting is toggled on, any user in your organization's account can sync their Google Calendar with WorkDove. To do this, navigate to the ‘Integrations’ tab and click the “Connect” button underneath Google.

You will then be prompted by Google to trust WorkDove and sign in to your Google account.

Once you have completed this, you will then be redirected back to the WorkDove website, where you will receive confirmation of your connection! You will now be able to see any WorkDove calendar events on your Google Calendar.


Microsoft Integration Instructions

After toggling on the Microsoft Integration setting, there are a few additional steps the Admin must complete before the individual user can connect.

Once the Microsoft Integration setting is toggled on, Admin users will need to enter the organization’s Microsoft Tenant ID. If you need help finding your Tenant ID, please refer to this resource and/or connect with your internal IT department.

After entering the tenant ID, click “Connect to Microsoft Calendar.”

You will then be taken to a new page that will give you further instructions on granting WorkDove permission to connect your Microsoft Calendar.

Instructions for both WorkDove Admin users and your company's Microsoft account administrators as these may be different individuals.

Once these steps are completed, any user in your organization's account can sync their Microsoft Calendar with WorkDove. To do this, navigate to the ‘Integrations’ tab and click the “Connect” button underneath Microsoft.

Microsoft will then prompt you to follow the steps to connect your account. You will then receive confirmation of your connection within WorkDove! You will now be able to see any WorkDove calendar events on your Google Calendar. You will also be able to give Recognition through Microsoft Teams. Slack Integration Instructions

After toggling on the Slack Integration setting, there are a few additional instructions provided here.

Once the instructions have been completed and the WorkDove Recognition app for Slack has been added, any user in your organization's account can integrate with Slack. To do this, they can navigate to the ‘Integrations’ tab and click the “Connect” button underneath Slack.

A pop-up will appear and you will then be prompted to sign in to your Slack workspace.

After signing in, you will receive confirmation of your successful connection in WorkDove! You will now be able to give Recognition through your organization’s Slack channels. Interested in learning more? This Deep Dive features more information about providing Recognition through Slack.
