Simplified vs. Classic Performance-Values Matrix (PVM)
Updated over 9 months ago

When accessing your Performance Values Matrix, you have the option to choose between two views: the Simplified and the Classic View. This preference can be set via a Help Desk setting, to make changes to your PVM, your account admin can contact [email protected].

The choice of view should be based on the specific needs of your organization, especially regarding how you intend to segment and analyze data following a Performance Review cycle.

Classic PVM View

In this view, your employees are depicted within four quadrants, each marked with color-coded dots corresponding to their quadrant placement. This display offers a concise summary of your employees' positions post-review cycle, supplemented by labels (Star, Potential, Aligned?, and Right Fit?) that contribute to an overall assessment of your team's performance.

Simplified PVM View

This view offers a detailed breakdown of placements by individual, grouped by a department color indicator. Enhanced by a gradient blue background that signifies top performance, with the darkest blue quadrant representing the highest level, this view allows for a deeper analysis of your data by department. Consequently, it provides not only an overview of the organization but also insights into trends by department following a review cycle.

When you access the Simplified PVM, you can refine your data by filtering for specific departments. On the left-hand side, you'll find a color-coded list of your organizational departments. These department color codes can be customized in the "Departments" section located under the "People" tab in the left-side navigation menu.

By choosing one of the departments from the list on the left, all other departments' data will be excluded from the PVM view. This feature empowers you to delve deeper into your data, enabling you to focus on specific departmental trends.

As a manager, when viewing the PVM, you'll be able to identify each of your employees with a unique color code as well.

Updating Department Colors

To update the color designated to a department, you can navigate to the "Departments" tab listed under "People."

From the Department tab, locate the department you want to update. Click the color dot in the middle "Color" column.

You will then be able to designate a new color by clicking the "Generate new color" button. Be sure to click Save to ensure your changes take effect.
