When you enable Goal Weighting within the Goals application, the Goal Weighting Report is automatically available under the Reports section in the left navigation menu for Admin and Super users.
Navigating the Goal Weighting Report
When viewing the report, the filter for the report defaults to the current calendar year for both the Start and End Dates.
The report is organized by Department > Team Member, displaying goals grouped by team member within the selected date range. You can expand and collapse departments and individual goals within each department.
Additionally, the report includes a Summary section, which features a Weighted Completion Percentage field for each team member.
Understanding the Report Calculation
The calculation for the Weighted Completion Percentage varies depending on your configuration option (either Default Goal Weighting or Manual Goal Weighting). For more information on the two configuration options, visit this article.
For Default Goal Weighting, use the following example:
Formula:
Weighted Percent Completed = (Goal 1 Weight * Goal 1 Completion) + (Goal 2 Weight * Goal 2 Completion) + (Goal 3 Weight * Goal 3 Completion) / (Total of All Goal Weights)
Goal 1: Weight = 4, Completion = 33%
Goal 2: Weight = 10, Completion = 25%
Goal 3: Weight = 8, Completion = 75%
Calculation:
(4 * 33%) + (10 * 25%) + (8 * 75%) / (4 + 10 + 8) = 44.63%
For Manual Goal Weighting, use the following example:
Formula:
Weighted Percent Completed = (Goal 1 Weight * Goal 1 Completion) + (Goal 2 Weight * Goal 2 Completion) + (Goal 3 Weight * Goal 3 Completion) / (Total of All Goal Weights)
Goal 1: Weight = 20%, Completion = 33%
Goal 2: Weight = 30%, Completion = 25%
Goal 3: Weight = 50%, Completion = 75%
Calculation:
(20% * 33%) + (30% * 25%) + (50% * 75%) / (20% + 30% + 50%) / 100% = 51.6%
Filtering and Exporting the Report
On the far right of the report, you have options to filter and export records. When you select the Export Records icon, you can choose to export either Filtered Records or Summary Records.
