Some organizations may decide to incorporate both Goals and Objectives into their Performance Reviews, we call this PVM (Performance Values Matrix) set up our hybrid y-axis configuration. Users with a hybrid y-axis will also still get an x-axis score for Core Values (workplace behaviors) which is a traditional weighted average. To learn more about the PVM, visit this article.
For the hybrid y-axis, we calculate a performance score that is a combination of both Goals and Objectives depending on the weights you have selected for each item. Below is an overview and example of how the hybrid y-axis score is calculated:
Here is the formula: x*(y/z)
x = the star rating
y = the weighting value (1-10)
z = the total weighting values of both objectives and goals
In this example, z = 32
Now each item calculation is below:
Performance Objective 1 - 3*(2/32) = .01875
Performance Objective 2 - 4*(2/32) = .25
Goal 1 - 4*(7/32) = .875
Goal 2 - 4*(7/32) = .875
Goal 3 - 4*(7/32) = .875
Goal 4 - 5*(7/32) = 1.09375
Total combined Hybrid Score = 3.9875
