What is Recognition?
Updated over 8 months ago

Build a healthy culture by recognizing team players based on your core values. Celebrate wins and appreciate others for displaying great workplace behaviors.

The Recognition app helps to foster a culture of core value recognition by showcasing recognition on your organization's dashboard. This allows all users to view all recognition given to everyone in the organization.

When recognition is given, an email is also sent to the employee being recognized, their manager, and the account administrator.

Recognition automatically pulls into performance reviews so you can easily see everything your employee has been recognized for throughout the year while completing their review.

Dashboard View

  • When viewing your own Dashboard, you will see the most recent recognition records where you both received and provided recognition.

  • When viewing your Team Dashboard, you will see the most recent recognition records where your team both received and provided recognition.

  • When viewing your Organization Dashboard, you will see the most recent recognition records for all users in the organization.

App View

  • You can also navigate to the Recognition App within WorkDove to provide recognition and to view all recognition records.

  • This view also provides the ability to filter results.

Slack or Microsoft Teams Integration

  • If your organization utilizes Microsoft Teams or Slack, our Recognition app provides a seamless integration allowing your team to build a culture of appreciation while using one of the applications they use all day long to stay connected.

  • Recognition provided within these applications syncs into the WorkDove platform automatically.

Need to flag or remove a recognition? The employee who received the recognition, the manager of the employee who received the recognition, and any account admin or super user is able to flag recognition records. Click here for details.

Tips:

  • Recognize early and often: Welcome new employees and let them know how they're getting off to a great start.

  • Be specific: Instead of saying "great job," explain what the person did that was so impressive.

  • Make it personal: Personalize your recognition to demonstrate that you genuinely acknowledge your teammates' efforts

  • Consider the recipient's preferences: Take into account the recipient's preferences; some may prefer public recognition, while others may prefer private acknowledgment.
