Recognition Using Microsoft Teams

Steps to connect with the Teams integration in addition to providing recognition to users in your organization.

WorkDove offers the ability to provide Recognition to a member of your organization through Microsoft Teams with our Microsoft integration. Recognition provided within Teams syncs into the WorkDove platform automatically. When recognition is given, an email is also sent to the employee being recognized, their manager, and the account administrator.

The video below provides a brief walkthrough of how to connect with the Microsoft integration, add the WorkDove app within Teams, and provide recognition through Teams.

How to Connect with the Microsoft Integration

In order to provide recognition in Teams, each user will need to connect their WorkDove account with the Microsoft integration. To do this, you will log into WorkDove and navigate to Integrations in your left navigation menu. Then, click the "Connect" button.

Adding the WorkDove App to Teams

Open Microsoft Teams and navigate to Apps, found in your lefthand menu. Search for "WorkDove" and click the "Add" button.

Alternatively, as shown in the video above, you can add new Teams Apps directly from a chat by clicking on the 3-dot menu under your text entry box. This will also allow you to search for WorkDove and add the application.

Providing Recognition in Teams

1. Open a Teams chat - this can be an individual chat, a group chat, or Teams channel. In individual chats, you will use the 3-dot menu shown in the image above to navigate to the WorkDove app. In a Teams channel, you will click the plus icon.

2. Next, enter the name of the teammate or teammates you want to recognize and click the "Find People" button. This can be anyone in your organization.

3. Ensure the right recipient has populated into the form. If not, you can click "Go Back" to make changes. Next, select a Core Value from the drop-down menu and enter the body of the recognition into the text box. Confirm that all information is accurate and then click the "Submit and Past to Chat" button.


Once submitted, the Recognition will appear in the Teams Chat where the feedback was entered. It will also sync back into WorkDove, where it will be recorded in the Recognition application and displayed on the Recognition Dashboard card.
