Accessing a Performance Review With “Record In Use” Message

How to resolve the 'Record In Use' message and request control of a Performance Review.

Updated over a month ago

Performance Reviews are designed to permit only one user to edit the record at a time. If you receive a “Record In Use” message when attempting to access a review, it indicates that another assigned user is currently editing the same record.

Before clicking the "Request Control" option, be sure to communicate with the user who currently has access to the Performance Review to ensure they are not actively working in the record. Once confirmed, click “Request Control” and you will immediately have access to the Performance Review. This will automatically force the previous user out of the record.

Note: If a user is forced out of a record before finishing their edits, any changes they made will be automatically saved.
