How to Bulk Close Performance Reviews

How to move outstanding Performance Reviews to the "Past" tab.

Updated over 7 months ago

After a review cycle, you may need to close outstanding reviews. The bulk edit option allows administrators to complete this process for multiple reviews simultaneously. Closing a review moves it to the "Past" tab of the Performance Review application and locks it from further edits.

Important Note: Moving a review to the "Past" tab makes any completed manager ratings and feedback available for the employee to view. Consider this when closing partially completed reviews.

Step 1:

Navigate to the Performance Reviews application, and ensure you're in the "Current" view, which displays outstanding reviews. In the top right, select the "Bulk Operations" icon.

Step 2:

Select the reviews you want to close. You can choose a few or use the "Select All" option. Then, click "Bulk Edit."

Step 3:

In the Bulk Operations menu, locate the "Move to Past" field and select "Yes."

Step 4:

Enter a reason for the action (e.g., Past due review) in the required field.

Once you have completed the reason, you will then be able to click the blue "Proceed" button.

Step 5:

Confirm the changes in the pop-up window by clicking "Apply to __ records."

A pop-up in the bottom left will allow you to undo the changes for 60 seconds if needed.

Accessing Bulk Closed Reviews

Access closed reviews in the "Past" tab of the application. To view a closed record, click the three-dot menu beside the employee's name and select "View Past Review."

To review the reason for an admin-finalized review, navigate to the "Approval" tab. If the review was closed by bulk operation, there will be an "Admin Finalization" section displaying the reason and the person who completed the action.

If you need to revert a review back to the "Current" tab for editing after closing the review, you can do so under the "Change Status back to Current" field. To learn more about this, click here.
