For employees to add and edit performance objectives in their self-assessment, it's important to ensure that the "Allow Employees to Create/Edit Performance Objectives and/or Cascading Goals" account setting is enabled.
Below are the steps on how to do add and edit Performance Objectives to a Performance Review:
Note: If you are adding objectives to your Self-Assessment as a manager user, navigate to the 'Me' selector in the upper-left corner (next to the Left Navigation).
Adding Performance Objectives:
Step 1: Navigate to Apps > Performance Reviews.
Step 2: Select the three dot menu next to your Self-Assessment and click Update Self-Assessment.
Step 3: Go to the Objectives tab and click Edit in the upper right-hand corner.
Step 4: Depending on your account settings, you will either see a drop-down of pre-created objectives or a drop-down as well as a "+" sign.
By clicking the "+" sign you can create a new performance objective, you can give it a title and definition. To add this objective to your account's library for others to use, check the "Add this Objective to the Library" option.
Step 5: Assign a weight to your objective (a value between 1-10, with 10 being the most important). It is recommended to select a 10 if you are unsure of what rating to select. Selecting the same number for all objectives will assign them equal weights. Note that the overall percentage on the far right is auto-calculated and updates based on the selected weighting of each objective.
Step 6: When you're finished, select Close. Your changes are auto-saved and will appear on the finalized objectives page.
Editing Your Performance Objectives:
If you need to make changes to your objectives after adding them, click the "Edit" button in the top right. You can then add or remove objectives, using the same steps as when you initially added them.
To remove an objective, simply select the small trash icon next to the objective, and it will be removed from the review. When you're finished, select Close. Your changes are auto-saved and will appear on the finalized objectives page.
