Goals can span multiple years, specific quarters, or have flexible timelines. Some goals may be relevant for evaluation during the review process, while others may not. To accommodate this, we provide flexible access to relevant goals based on the review cycle.
Important Note:
For Goals to be added to Performance Reviews, the associated settings must be enabled. For instructions on how to add goals to a Performance Review, please click here. For more information, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Criteria for Including Goals in a Review
The goals available to be added to a review are based on the following factors:
The End Date of the goal
The Due Date of the performance review
The Calendar Year of the review due date
Goals appear in the dropdown menu of the Goals tab within a Performance Review if:
The End Date of the goal is within 365 days before the review’s Due Date.
The End Date is within 365 days after the review’s Due Date.
Additionally, closed goals are eligible for review if they fall within this time frame, allowing for inclusion even after goal completion.
This allows for both recently completed goals and current goals to be included for potential evaluation and feedback.
Example:
Abigail has three (3) goals which she is assigned as the Person Responsible.
Goal One (2023)
End Date 12/31/2023
Goal Two (2024)
End Date 12/31/2024
Goal 3 (2025)
End Date 12/31/2025
Her 2024 Performance Review is set with a Due Date of 9/18/2024.
In the Goals tab of the review, you can add the relevant records. In this scenario, both the 2023 and 2024 goals are available, but the 2025 goal is not.
This is because only goals that have an End Date within ±365 days of the performance review's due date (9/18/2024) are available. Both the 2023 and 2024 goals meet this condition, while the 2025 goal does not.
