The WorkDove rating system is a feature available in both our Performance Review and 360 Degree Feedback applications, based upon your account settings.

Our rating system is designed on a customizable 5-star scale. By default, we provide the following standard definitions for the 5-star scale.

  • 5 Stars: Outstanding; Performance is exceptional in all areas and is recognizable as a major contribution.

  • 4 Stars: Good; Results clearly exceed requirements. Performance is of high quality and is achieved on a consistent basis.

  • 3 Stars: Satisfactory; Competent and dependable level of performance. Meets expectations.

  • 2 Stars: Improvement Needed; Performance is deficient in certain areas. Improvement is needed.

  • 1 Star: Unsatisfactory; Results are generally unacceptable.

Administrative users can tailor the scale definitions to align with their company's specific criteria. This can be done within the "Settings" tab of WorkDove, under the "Preferences" section titled "Company Rating Legend." By selecting the "Customize Rating Legend" option, users can modify the text associated with each star rating.

Note: There is no way to change the overall number of stars available on the rating scale.

Where is the rating scale used in WorkDove?

In the Performance Review application, employees utilize the 5-star scale to assess themselves across each performance objective, core value, and/or goal designated for the review cycle. Managers also employ the same scale to evaluate the employee's performance. To reset the selected star rating to zero, utilize the minus option adjacent to the set of stars.

In the 360 application, if Core Values and Performance Objectives are part of the feedback process, users can also assign star ratings accordingly.
