Release Notes - April 2021
Updated over a week ago

It is our goal to delight users by focusing on features that are simple to use and add fun to Performance Management. This past month we worked on improvements to mitigate duplicate records, updated 360 attach options, added a new Goal Report for employees, and more!

Read below for release details.

Microsoft Teams Integration for Recognition

Everyone likes to be recognized and it is now easy to use your Microsoft Teams account to start showing your appreciation. This integration allows your team to build that culture of appreciation while using one of the applications they use all day long to stay connected. When your team uses MS Teams to recognize someone and the recognition is both posted in Teams and seamless saved in your Performance Culture account - all without them having to login.

Duplicate Check for Performance Reviews

Does your account have duplicate review records? We know this may not happen often, but when it does it may cause confusion and require an audit. If your account already has some duplicate reviews you can use the Bulk Delete option to make the "clean-up" process quick. It was our goal with this update to mitigate duplicates from happening in the first place. (1128)

Our new duplicate check applies when you are creating a single review record from scratch, copying a review, or assigning a review template.

Cascading Goal Report for Employees

Our previous report version for employees made it hard for employees to see how their goals were aligned to higher goals in the organization. This was simply because the report view was a "top down" presentation method. We reversed the order which now makes it easy for the employee to see all of their goals and then click to see how they align to 2nd level and then 1st level goals.

Admin users must enable the report view for employees by selecting the Enable Employee Cascading Goal Report setting.

This report only applies for accounts using the full Cascading Goal/OKR experience.(1165)

Performance Review - Manager Assessment Completed

We realize the existing Assessment Completed label on the Approval tab was not always clear. You may have thought it was showing you where the employee marked their Self Assessment as completed when, in fact, this value is related to the manager marking their portion of the assessment as completed. We updated the label to clear up the confusion and inserted a new column in the Team Reviews list view - Manager Completed (yes/no). You can now filter on this value. (1210)

360 Feedback - Attach option for Managers

Previously, the option for manager users and above to attach a 360 Feedback record in the review was "all or nothing". With this update, the Admin and Super users are able to always attach 360 Feedback records and we added an account setting that must be enabled to allow managers to do the same. Setting: Allow Managers to Attach 360 Feedback to Reviews can be found under the 360 Feedback section.

If you previously selected for all users to attach 360 Feedback and you do NOT want managers to have that option any longer the Admin user will need to disable this option. (1185)

Behind the Scenes

Some of the updates are more "behind the scenes". Each release includes some work to improve a workflow, performance, and/or are updates required to keep up with the evolution of the application. Below are quick notes about those updates:

  • User segment filters on the People list now only show segments assigned to your organization rather than all the possible segments we offer.

  • Check-In Response - Rely-to. We now insert the manager's email address who saved the Check-In feedback when employees use the email reply option.

  • Recognition - we resolved an issue with creating a recognition record on a mobile device.

Coming Soon!

A 9-Box Leadership tool and a Survey Builder feature.
